Eating disorders can affect anyone at any stage of their life. The illness will affect a person’s health, their ability to work and their social life. Being aware of the symptoms of eating disorders and having an understanding of their causes could help you to provide appropriate support for a sufferer.

Information booklets

Biteback have produce a series of information booklets for people affected by eating disorders, including for those who work with students. PDF booklets can be downloads by clicking on the links on the right hand side of this page. If you would like hard copies please e-mail info@bite-back.org.uk stating who the booklets are intended for, which booklet/s you would like and how many you would like. Please also state the address you would like the booklet to be sent to.

Presentations

Biteback has given a number of successful presentations aimed at increasing peoples understanding of eating disorders and what they can do to help a suffer to recover. If you would be interested in a free presentation given by a biteback ambassador please contact info@bite-back.org.uk.

Awareness raising

If you would like to raise awareness of eating disorders within your company/organisation Biteback can provide a series of informative posters and booklets. Policy development

Biteback strongly believes that sports and exercise venues and those running/coaching sports and fitness classes should have a policy in place that guides staff on the action to be taken to prevent eating disorders and support sufferers attending their venue.
